Attendees: Cralls, Casey, Nate, Jared, Lauren and Avage after the fact
Notes:
Action Item review:
OLD
- Nate: follow up with Beale about stickers and patches (STOPS stuff)
NEW
- Cralls - find historical junior badge data (juniors checked in in previous years) - Deb gave us a 2020 count once in 2022, it must be possible
- Jinx / Jenna - final booklet changes (see above)
- Nate - find out how much money I’m allowed to spend on this book
- Lauren - make calendar invites for meeting and jam sessions
Agenda:
- Initiative check-ins
- Tabletop for Young Gamers
- Updates for the Pathfinder department (from Casey):
- We have "All Ages" adventures planned throughout MAG, with signups available on the Attractions page (going live once the guidebook is published). These are open for all ages to attend and are similarly accessible in terms of their content.
- We're also running (and advertising) MAGScouts-specific games on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10am - 2pm, with games scheduled for 2hrs each within that time slot. Signups are available on the Attractions page as well for these, and are marked separately from the aforementioned "All Ages" quests (though we're running the same adventures).
- Attendees are welcome to come to NH 8 ahead of time to work with volunteers to create their own characters, and/or choose from a number of pre-generated ones to dive into the action. There will be standees throughout the playing spaces with QR codes and URLs for access to virtual resources, along with ways of finding future games and communities should players wish to continue their adventures beyond MAGFest.
- Updates for the D&D department:
- 1 hour D&D adventures offered on Saturday morning
- 2 hour TTRPGs offered on Saturday and Sunday morning
- Blog Post - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gsU94dQX2leU50-zN__fOYKbHkwFb-sAI4Q3n7SgQLQ/edit?tab=t.0
- Decided to postpone it til 2026 because we didn’t clearly define the who, why, and how and don’t have clear utility and spoons for it this year
- Cralls thinks this could be a great internal doc for now
- Might also be useful for the school group coming in
- Patches & Stickers - Nate
- Beale found them
- Cralls is going to nicely ask Beale, Dac, & Rik to ballpark how many patches and stickers we have
- Activity Sheet/Booklet - Jenna, Jinx
- It is done
- Sarah should be sending to local printer
- The booklet can be submitted to the printer at the same time as the MAG'Zine. Going to opt for a coloring book setup since the interior pages would be uncoated and this able to be written on. Final file needs to be in by Christmas so we can get a proof before final print.
- Social Media Requests?
- magTV slide info
- Cralls will send info to magTV peeps. Reuse last year’s slide.
- Internal outreach - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RJabOZBAP35tKiVF-CNeC6OCqmaMBWmWxhmVlfbD2Cg/edit?usp=sharing
- Let’s make sure we’re getting departments the info they need. Would love to see participation across the org.
- Most of guest & panel content is the same standards as last year of daytime (9a- 9p) content is geared to all ages and anything after 10pm is for the 18 & up crowd. Got a few key items that are specifically for youth & their grown-ups. Panel submissions have a checkbox for opt in on Scouts content.
- At least let them know we have generic Junior signs.
- Call for New Business
- The Ingram School group IS HAPPENING
- They will attend on Friday
