- Discussion:
- Concern about the wall move and safety since no longer a direct route between halls
- Could be a good thing because people are now forced to walk through the game space
- Concern about the wall move causing large sound bleed for devs now directly in the path of arcade. this has been a concern for booths near the airwall gap in the past
- Is this much different from past layouts?
- Yes, full booth blocks now facing gap
- Hopefully pushing further away from gap with 20’ free space helps
- Is this worth pushing back on and risking tension between expo neighbors?
- Seems like we don’t have much choice. Compromise of getting back a few feet doesn’t really help. All or nothing basically.
- Not worth the fight if we have a solution, but go in knowing there will be negative feedback from attendees and devs
- Need to have these points locked down way earlier. Layout affects how many games we can even accept
- Like the layout concept with the ring except concerns about having the obelisk in the dev space. Without obelisk, this feels like too much dead space.
- Don’t like the random nook of tables in 68 tab
- Could this be a truncated Quickplay?
- Not what we promised, but maybe a bonus setup?
- Don’t like the blocking table in 67
- This may not be needed depending on how things shake out on site. Full block could be moved over depending on what’s around the column. Just need to block walkway access between it and booths for safety reasons.
- Could be nice for the devs to give them a little breathing room away from the column and not block their setup
- Quickplay
- Where does it go in any of these layouts?
- Do we need to rely on the unused Charity space?
- Options discussed
- Result:
- 67 seems like the frontrunner, but we’re talking in circles
- Sending 67 to Accessibility with access to our backups to get their approval
Action Items:
- Lauren: pull a new Everything Report after checklist close and put in the Mega Sheet
- Tyler: update the website with the games list
