MAGFest 2014 What was learned:

• Submission:

• Have x4 photos per group not 1 (will use for 2 minute pitches)

• Need a disclaimer any video / images may be used for future MIVS promotional material.

• Must have a game attendees can play, may not elicit funds for non-existent game

• Layout: Do islands of x4, everyone is a corner (no swapping necessary)

• Test power drops night before (one drop was bad)

• Stress in the e-mail you must BUY badges they aren’t free

• One additional reminder e-mail about team-mates

• Better system of ribbon handling (get list to reg desk.)

• Have extra on-hand, how to deal with last minute

• Print out location of studios and leave in spaces (what Marketplace does)

• May not be necessary, makes it tricker for swapping (but not necessary if x4 island layout)

• Setup earlier

• Badges

• People not on the sheet: Symphony orchestra

• Worked out because corner area not used by Eric Yocky

• Change core hours

• Thursday until 8pm?

• Insure area is staffed 24 hours: x2 staffers on late hours
