• BroadcastOps/MAGtv - Garth

  • What can bops use from MAGScouts for MAGtv - how can we work together
    • They have a concerts mainstage, panels 1, atrium view
  • So MAGScouts wont be running anything on MAGtv, except for an ad about MAGScouts
  • Bops wants to know if theres any content we’ve flagged from other departments we would love to have featured, we should let them know.
  1. We would love if MAGtv would use content warnings.
  2. We will send Bops anything we think would be great morning tv - 6 am etc
     1. Can we run pre-records from this or last year in the early morning?
     2. What about a behind-the-scenes about magtv :D

• Consoles - Evan:

  • We’re not a kid friendly room - blood and gore all over the place
  • We could identify core hours that are kid friendly and sub in some less gory/less violent games?
  • Room is designed so old stuff is first in the front, all of these are kid friendly.
  • Write a quickstart guide for consoles! Maybe permanent stations for 5 of them, or permanent during morning hours on the weekend

• Public Safety/Accessibility/Csec - can we get earplugs for kids, and can we give these to arcades and consoles desks and infodesk?

• Public Safety

  • pitching that we could have recognizable safe zones for where they can go if they are lost
    • no, but what if we emailed junior badge buyers to say teach your kid to find a staffer or go to public safety
  • Can we get a badge line on junior badges for their emergency contacts phone # so if you find a lost kid pub safety can call them?
  • This is all cool stuff we can encourage pub safety to go forward with or to get the org to train staffers on, but not something we’re going to do

• Next Steps for dept outreach

  • For departments in the sheet:

  • identify the dropdead date for that content - when do we need it?

  • Christmas feels like a safe ripcord, but some might need even more time than that

  • Social Media

    • We should delay our social media requests to post - announcement season, closer to the actual event.
    • Newsletter could happen sooner!

• Next meeting

  • Mid november, and then lets go biweekly or talk about a faster cadence than that
    • Tuesday Nov 14th 7pm EST
