Updates since last time
- Docker Host is built with docker installed for FreeIPA
- CUPS and Rsyslog ansible roles are ‘done’
- Very preliminary work on main as dev branch
Things we want done for next time
- Backups for docker volumes?
- NFS mount for config files
- Options for overlay fs
- Separate Ceph volume
- Use the OS volume
- Mount a filesystem image from NFS
- Create remaining LXC containers in terraform so we can test the CI/CD pipeline
- Work on IP space assignment when we start making the prod branch - done, @sader
- Lookup table in Terraform with first 3 octets of IP per branch
- Concatenate an item’s IP on the end of that variable
- Might glue it all together with python lol
- Tackle github issues:
- Jira organization
- Top level epic for Super 2022 deployment
- Sub epics? Tasks? Whatever? For that event
- network, compute, storage
- Specific tasks assigned to sub-whatevers appropriately
- Update docs!
- I did not give access to those without access. I am bad. - @yesrod
- Add everyone not present to the jira-techops group, probably by asking #office - Done
- TOCUMENTATION
- Assign all IPs
- Existing IP associations, or YOLO?
- Roll with what we have for now, translate from Salt
- DNS management
- Via Ansible
- Generate /etc/hosts files for guests using the same data used for the DNS servers
- Certboot
- YOLO split view by only pointing Certbot at Route 53
- We avoid having to configure split DNS in bind
- Registrar transfer magevent.net DNS to Route53 - @rscullin
- FreeIPA container needs added to existing Salt DNS - done
- Also assign IP for FreeIPA container - done, used existing IP
- Tempted to give existing IP/name?

- Heather reuses the existing name and IP
- METATASK: Adjust THIS VERY TASK LIST into something we can sprint with

- Tasks should reference existing Jira items or create new ones
- Sprint 1: Wed 8/11 to Wed 8/25
