Meeting Notes:

• Special Guest - Jarrett from MAGFast. Looking for content to put on MAGFast. Looking for speedrunning content (hard mode, challenge mode, secret bosses). Would like to incorporate different elements of MAGFest. Doesn’t necessarily need to be a speedrunning. Add this as a check box when they are being reached out to with regards to tourneys. MIVS Block? Or possible during core-hours and have volunteers watch booth. If they are interested, pass their information along to Jarrett. Can reach out to Alumni as well who have shown in the past but maybe scored out.

• COVID Policy Check-In. How’s everyone doing? No masks, no vacinnations. Update Handbook with current COVID Policy.

• Reggie Update 8/15! Add button to click for interest in MAGFast for super 2025

  • When they're putting in their Studio, we ask for Twitter and Facebook account names. Should probably add Instagram, TikTok since I think those are also more prevalent than Facebook. Or Maybe have just a general social media where they can enter all of them (not really sure the best way to go about that) Make one spot for socials (encourage linktree, card, etc).
  • I noticed the screenshot request isn't actually on the Adding a game form. Once they add the game, it shows up as a thing to do on the Studio index page. Definitely want to update verbage telling them what the screenshots are used for, but I think it would be better to have this on the game submission form. Good idea.
  • For Awesomecon, they had asked us to get a short paragraph describing the indie games for the website. Sometimes the Full Descriptions can get wordy, so maybe we can add this and use the short descriptions for Guidebook/MAGFest site? Yes
  • For VR games submitting, I know this likely won't be an issue for long, but since there are so many different Rigs nowadays, maybe removing Oculus, Vive and PSVR and just having VR and have a text box for them to specify what rigs their game runs on. A general VR box could be difficult because it would mess up spreadsheet. Change verbage to PCVR and Quest.
  • For judges when they create their judging accounts, maybe have it require they select PC or Mac. Yes

• Discussion on next year’s timeline. What do if no Reggie until super late? Are Google Groups Worth it? Should we do a truncated version of Google Groups to get submissions started and link them to the reggie once it is live? Mailing list is also an option as an alternative. What is bare minimum informaiton we would need? Would be good to speak with Victoria to see feasibility of spreadsheets being imported to Reggie vs manually entering information studio by studio

• New initiatives - Did anyone have any new ideas since last week’s brainstorm? Lauren posted photos in the Google Drive. Travis interested in layout. Indie Mixer, brunch didn’t necessarily work. People were stressed setting up booths, and grabbing and going. Maybe preopening is not the best time. After Core Hours could be difficult. Maybe collab with IGDA Baltimore with Tronster.
