Our current policy is that “Awards to not exist”
If awards show up, they are a gift from MIVS staff.
The background on this policy is that MIVS used to announce the award winners in the main hall. That direction made some uneasy and was articulated by a dev. They said Boston FIG had gone down that route for awards and it destroyed the cooperative spirit there because the event turned into a competition. Thus, the current policy was made.
2022 List of Awards:
The awards come with some fancy statue (mivsy, mivs blocks, mivs blocks and base) and a printed card.
