In the event someone is injured, intoxicated, unconscious, here are things to keep in mind:

Asses the situation as discussed in the manual or call over a manager to asses if you’re unsure.

If it is an absolute emergency, 911 is acceptable but faster methods are

  1. Call channel 2 on public radios - (Chipspace normally doesn’t carry these)
  2. Call or text (833) FEST-SEC (833-337-8732)
  3. Flag Fest Security with a red vest and advise there’s a medical emergency
  4. Flag a Blue Vested Staffer who is a medic - During major concerts in main stage, a blue vest staffer should be present in the concert hall. Ask someone from Concert security in the baggage check area to fetch them.
  5. SLOWEST METHOD - or message #super-security-questions on slack

No need to give out people’s names, just describe the location and the situation.

Some of you are nervous with phone calls, here sample scripts:

“Hi, I’m at Chipspace, we have an unconscious adult. Please send help”

or

”Hi, I’m backstage at Chipspace we have an adult that appears to have a broken or sprained ankle. Please send help”

🗺️ How to Get to the First Aid Department

The First Aid department (formerly known as Public Safety) is located in Camelia 2. Leaving from Chipspace, head in direction of the Atrium/Gazebo but stop when you see the shoe shine bench/Fedex. Look to your left. Down that hallway, the second open room is the First Aid room where first aid and EMS is standing by. Banners saying First Aid should be there

In the event we do not have the first aid kit, Concert security should have one

If the injury doesn’t hamper mobility please consider going to Camelia 2 for the actual first aid station.

Starting 2025 local EMS are on stand by in the First Aid Room from 12 PM - 8 PM during festival days.
