As of Super MAGFest 2025, the Guidebook team now pulls all game text and images directly from uber, and those are directly editable by developers on their show info page. The instructions below are provided for historical purposes.
The “General Information” list in Guidebook should have an Indie Hall entry. Check #super-guidebook on Slack for details. Here is the description we used for 2025:
Welcome to the MAGFest Indie Gaming HQ! In this hall, you'll find three zones
MIVS aka MAGFest Indie Videogame Showcase New games developed by small, independent teams all presented by the developers creating them. Play the best new game you've never heard of, interact with the developers, and shape the future of games!
Indie Retro Your source for modern throwbacks. New games, original hardware, and good times!
Indie Arcade Catering to the unusual and offbeat. Alternative controls, interactive art, and arcade cabinets that can't be found anywhere else!
Guidebook does get imported from uber data by the guidebook team but it is generally less ideal. We submit an XLS to them via the guidebook checklist item using the MIVSFIT data and images.
See MIVS/2023/Guidebook drive for example:
