The vision of MAGMeet is to connect the MAGFest supporters and staff, outside of official events, to build a stronger community.

MAGMeet was born out of the conversations in MAGnite. They are two similar communities with a shared goal: align with MAGFest Inc's core value of Community. Unlike MAGnite, which is our staff/volunteer-only irregular hangout, MAGMeet:

• is intended to be open to everyone
• has regular scheduling and sign-ups
• contains small groups, preferably no more than 10 per session (hard to get to know people with much more than that)
• just like our events, provides an expectation to commit

What aboutMAGnite (on hiatus)? It's like MAGMeet, but a place just for MAG volunteers/staffers to hang out. MAGnites are less frequent but are only open to MAG volunteers/staffers, including those hosting MAGMeets. It's a place to create unity within the organization, so that we can serve our attendees at our best. If you're burned out of hosting MAGMeets, come dip your feet into the oasis of hanging out with your fellow volunteers/staffers, get some support, and then venture back out to hosting our attendees!
