IA/MIVS - Tech Chain meeting

• will meet wednesday with stoldal
• Matt: the goal is to do a dry run of the tech setup
• Andrew: he has a remote setup in CT that he remoted into
• Joel: is on board for the meeting
• ACTION: Nate will send the invite to Matt/Nate/Andrew/Joel

Stream Name:

• something that can be used year to year / event to event
• brand that summarizes the collective:
• Makes --- vibe like Twitch Plays
• Markers - yes
• Creates - nah
• Indiy - too hard to say / read as the same
• Magfest_Makers - this!
• we don't know what the future brings
• name will be used for twitch / discord server
• Magfest Markers Presents:
• RIP The Syndicate Supergroup
• ACTION: Tronster renamed slack - done!

MIVS:

• we closed with 52 submissions
• we are wrapping submission judging
• we are doing a first pass on the videos looking for good games to stream
• Magfest Makers present the MIVS mobile minute (all mobile stuff / short things)
• like the nintendo treehouse videos (trailer, bump, trailer, bump)
• ACTION: MIVS will take a first pass to try to figure out which games to stream and if the time estimate for the blocks is good.

IA:

• closing is pushed out a week
• they are waiting for an alt-control jam to finish -ACTION: Mail Jesse wood screws so he has some to offer indie arcade during overnight

Schedule:

• tabletop is an open question
• tabletop are not responsive
• we will use tabletop as transition / bonus content
• we are expecting a few pre-recorded videos from table top
• Sunday: The GameJam block is dead, and this is now extra time for content
• ACTION: get an idea of if stuff is a panel or not, or if the estimate total time is a good number for the group's block. Try to put ideas for schedule in your tab.

Panels:

• 3 markers, 1 IA, 1 3D print, 1 swadges (swadge retro on our stream)

Makerspace:

• sending their form out tomorrow to their prior presenters

Discord:

• server is being setup
• Kat is looking for volunteers for discord mods
• Kat - needs department descriptions for discord channels

Stream Hubs:

• IA will most likely stream from Matt/Nate location
• MAGFest may stream from wonderville
• there will be at least one cabinet streamed from wonderville

Warehouse:

• we may be able to get things from the warehouse
• Tronster will ask at DIV head to see what happens

Volunteers:

• IA may be a little light on volunteer bodies during the stream
• IA could use tech roles etc
• MIVS will need more discord helpers
• ACTION: IA will determine what roles they need and ask for help
• Markerspace will have a small crew, but will have a few bodies to help

Homebrew:

• James talked with Socks and they are good for now
