The Department for all things that get shot or flung at targets. Currently this entails running a range and special events for archery, wrist slingshots, and giant “water balloon launcher” style slingshots. In the past this has also included BB guns.

While this department will work to accommodate anyone who wishes to participate, the amount one may be able to volunteer is greatly dependent upon the ability to complete certain physical tasks without accommodation. The Rangemaster role is the most demanding regarding physical ability due to its inherent job in ensuring safety with regards to objects that could be harmful if misused, and the need to identify trespassers into the firing area of the range.

Anyone signed up for a Rangemaster shift must have the Rangemaster role. This is acquired by attending Rangemaster training the year of the event or attending a training from a prior year. The exception is if there is a new aspect to the Range all Rangemasters must be trained on.
