If someone ever makes you feel unsafe, unwelcome, or is violating our Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible. MAGFest events must remain welcoming environments for everyone and we are committed to protecting our community.
If it is believed anyone is in imminent danger, please notify the appropriate law enforcement channels first.
We offer online, phone, and in-person reporting, listed in more detail below. Reports are kept confidential to appropriate parties (Safety & Security Manager, employees, and/or Board of Directors) until consent is given. Consent may be given by the person who is the subject of any offensive conduct or, if a report is given by a bystander before contacting the subject, by the person(s) making the report.
Extreme and/or repeated violations of the Code of Conduct or egregious threats to anyone's safety may require the case to be escalated immediately to Safe Committee, office employees, department heads, event leadership, Board of Directors, and/or law enforcement.
Submitted reports are forwarded to [email protected], and the Safe Committee will proceed with an internal investigation.
You may submit a report through the following online form. There is an option to provide personal information or remain anonymous. We fully investigate anonymous reports, although we will not be able to follow up with you directly.
After a report is filed and if contact information is provided, staff strive to notify you acknowledging receipt within 24 hours.
MAGFest values your safety. When taking a report in-person, our staff will ensure you are safe and cannot be overheard. Once safe, we'll ask you to tell us about what happened. You are welcome to bring a friend with you when reporting. You will never be asked to confront anyone and we will not share the details with anyone else until we have your consent to proceed.
