Coming onto Shift:
- Notify the Shift Lead that you have arrived for your shift
- Receive any important information for your shift from the Shift Lead
- Find out who else is on shift and who the DH/Manager On Duty is in case you have trouble contacting your Shift Lead at any point during your shift.
During Shift:
- Assist the Shift Lead with monitoring Slack (#super-guests-ops and #guests-hotliner-global) and the Guests radio channel for any important updates or needs to be addressed
- For things that need addressed, you may be dispatched by your Shift Lead as needed to accomplish those tasks
- Ensure you have a means of communication with your Shift Lead (preferably radio, but cell phone with their number works too) while you are away from the suite.
- If you have any questions about your task or concerns about your ability to accomplish said task, inform your Shift Lead of this, and if necessary request to run it by the DH/Manager On Duty. We are all human and can make mistakes. If something doesn’t sit right with you or you feel something is incorrect or unsafe, you are encouraged to check with the DH/Manager On Duty for reassurance, clarification, or to address possible issues.
- If you are being asked to do more than you feel comfortable doing at one time, inform your Shift Lead that assistance is required
- Maintain cleanliness/tidiness and decorum of the Guest Hospitality Suite
- This includes:
- wiping down surfaces as needed
- collecting trash
- restocking refreshments
- enforcing the rules of the space
- Document any potentially important information or happenings
- Use your best judgement
- Inform your Shift Lead as soon as reasonable
- Take care of yourself
- Make sure you are hydrating and acquiring meals when appropriate
- your Shift Lead is supposed to allow you to get meals from staff suite or you can order your staff suite meal to be delivered (ask department leadership if you have questions about this)
End of Shift
- Ensure the Hospitality Suite is tidy.
- Plug in any radios that require charging
- Pass on any pertinent information to your Shift Lead that you haven’t already
- Remove any unnecessary personal items from the suite when departing at end of shift
