Purpose: The purpose of this project is to have a visual aid for home base that will showcase who has shown up for their assigned shifts, what they are knowledgeable in, and where they are going if assigned a task.

Materials: Need a dry erase board, markers, electric tape.

Design: Planned outcome will look something like this:

Name Networking A/V Hardware Gopher Mission Time Out:
Volunteer 1
Volunteer 2
Volunteer 3

The volunteer will put a check mark under their corresponding specialization (or in the case of general volunteers without technical knowledge, a gopher). When a volunteer is assigned to a task, they will write the department name and a brief summary of the reported issue under 'mission' (for example, "LAN. Needs Gaff Tape").

Under Time Out they will record the time they have left home base. This will be for two reasons:

  1. To keep track of how long volunteers have been gone, to ensure the proper task is being completed in a reasonable amount of time (ie; don't go hang out in consoles playing guitar hero while you're supposed to be earning your hours!)
  2. Data mining purposes. Will keep a running spread sheet of reported issues during each day's session to include what sorts of issues were most prominent, which ones took the longest to resolve, any that could not be resolved, and an action plan on how MAG could limit these issues in the future.)
