So you want access to the warehouse, huh? Figures, it is pretty awesome! But before we give you your key fob and alarm code we have to go over the rules of the warehouse and the great responsibility you are about to undertake. Read over this list of rules and guidelines. You will be asked to sign a separate page when you receive your fob and alarm code to acknowledge that you have read the protocol and are willing to take on this great responsibility.

Warehouse Manager Availability and Requests

The warehouse manager (WHM) for MAGFest Inc. is prepared to assist with volunteer needs in the warehouse. The hours for the WHM will vary throughout the year depending on what is going on in the MAGWorld. This document is to lay out the general guidelines for what volunteers can expect from the WHM and what the warehouse manager needs from volunteers to be able to function properly.

Warehouse Hours

The WHM’s hours in the warehouse are roughly 10am - 6pm, Mon - Fri. There is a Warehouse Activity Calendar pinned in the #warehouse and #office channels in slack. Here is the link as well: https://calendar.google.com/calendar?cid=bWFnZmVzdC5vcmdfNW5mMGsxc2Jvbmo5azU5OGZmZ2c2c2hmMWdAZ3JvdXAuY2FsZW5kYXIuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbQ.

The WHM will update the calendar as their schedule changes and/or when work days for departments are planned out and set up. The WHM will be able to adjust their schedule based on volunteer needs and with adequate notice of requests to do so.

Requests for the WHM

There will be times that volunteers need to request that either the WHM be on site to lend assistance or pull pallets from the racking and make assets accessible for departmental work. These are the guidelines to follow:

Evenings and Weekends

The WHM is in their right to have time to shut off and will make their reachable hours known based around what is going on in the MAGWorld. When the WHM is out of the warehouse they will be prepared to answer questions for volunteers both working in the warehouse and in general.

Deliveries to the Warehouse

It is very common for departments to have deliveries sent directly to the warehouse. If you have something sent to the warehouse you must forward all tracking info to [email protected]. The WHM must receive this info to be able to plan their schedule and errands accordingly and be on site to receive packages as best they can.
