What do we do?

MAGWest’s Guest Department is all about making sure our special guests (who are videogame adjacent and are not a band) have a outstanding experience at the event and that they are well informed with keeping everything running smoothly.

Here’s what we do:

  1. Vetting Guests: We scout and invite amazing guests like speakers, performers, and celebrities to compliment and add to the experience at the event.
  2. Sorting Out Details: We handle all the important details, from contracts and payments to what our guests need during their stay.
  3. Scheduling: We make sure our guests know exactly where they need to be and when, whether it's for (but not limited to) panels, signings, or meet-and-greets.
  4. Keeping in Touch: We’re the go-to team for any questions or information our guests might need, making sure everything is clear and straightforward.
  5. Handling Logistics: We take care of travel, accommodations, and any on-site needs so our guests can just enjoy the event.
  6. Spreading the Word: We work with the social media team to get the word out about our guests and build excitement around their appearances.
  7. On-Site Liaisoning: During the convention, we’re there to assist our guests with anything they need and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  8. Receiving Feedback: After the MAGWest, we check in with both guests and attendees to see how things went and figure out ways to improve for next time.

In short, we’re the behind-the-scenes team making sure our guests have a fantastic time and everything goes off without a hitch!
